Terms of service

The agreement between you and TradePilot Pro when you use the website or create a company in the application.

Draft. These terms are a working draft and have not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. Governing law, limitation amounts and refund terms in particular must be confirmed before launch.

Draft of November 6, 2026. Not yet in force.

1. Agreement

These terms apply to tradepilotpro.live and to the TradePilot Pro application at app.tradepilotpro.live (together, the "Service"). By using the Service or creating a company account you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the business you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts and companies

  • A "company" is a workspace created at app.tradepilotpro.live/register. The person who creates it is its first administrator and confirms they are authorized to bind the business.
  • Each user must have their own sign-in. Sharing credentials is not permitted.
  • You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under your accounts. Tell us promptly at hello@tradepilotpro.live if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Customer-portal and subcontractor-portal users are given access by your company and are bound by these terms when they use the portal.

3. Trial, plans and payment

  • A new company starts a free trial of 30 days with the full application. No payment details are collected.
  • When the trial ends the account becomes read-only: you can sign in and view your data but not add or change records, until a plan is agreed. Your data is not deleted because a trial ended.
  • Prices are not yet published. Any plan will be priced in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes and confirmed to you in writing before it applies. Nothing is charged without your agreement.
  • [Owner to decide before billing starts: billing period, renewal, cancellation, refunds, price-change notice and what happens on non-payment.]

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, to send unsolicited bulk messages, to upload malicious code, to attempt to gain access to other companies' data, to reverse-engineer or resell the Service, or to overload it deliberately. We may suspend accounts that do so.

5. Your data

  • You own the data you and your users enter into the Service (customers, quotes, invoices, plans, job costs and so on). You grant us the right to host, process and back it up in order to provide the Service.
  • You are responsible for having the right to enter that data, including any consents needed from your customers and employees.
  • You can export lists, reports and accounting data from the application while your account is active, and for 90 days after it closes; we will provide a full copy of your data on request in that period. After that we may delete it. [Owner to confirm the 90 days.]
  • Our handling of personal information is described in the privacy policy.

6. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible. Support is provided by email at hello@tradepilotpro.live. [Owner to confirm support hours or response times before publishing any.]

7. Professional responsibility

TradePilot Pro is a tool. Estimates, takeoff quantities, tax calculations, schedules and reports are produced from the data and settings you enter. You remain responsible for checking quotes, invoices, tax amounts and material quantities before relying on them, and for compliance with building codes, labour law, tax law and your contracts.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and documentation, belongs to TradePilot Pro and its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TradePilot Pro will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. [Placeholder: confirm amount and carve-outs with counsel.]

11. Termination

You may close your company account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, after notice where practical. On termination your right to use the Service ends; section 5 governs your data.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced to company administrators by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, and disputes will be brought in the courts of Ontario. [Placeholder: confirm province with counsel.]
